Earlier today, the KWS rangers in Wajir announced that they have lived true to their ‘protection of the voiceless’ by rescuing two barely one-week-old cheetah siblings yesterday afternoon.
However, the cubs, a male and a female, were extremely weak due to hunger having not nursed from 10.00 am, after they were forcibly removed from their mother by herders in a regrettable Human-Wildlife Conflict attack.
Consequently, the cubs were then airlifted to Wilson Airport this morning, then transferred to the Nairobi Animal Orphanage, where they were treated and fed on bottled milk by veterinary doctors.

“Their prognosis for survival is good. We wish the little cubs well and good health as they settle into their new home.” stated the rescuers.
