Blanket and wine event has grown popular in Nairobi among all people from different walks of life. During such event, most people come together with their music, art, literature and fashion acrossets.
It began back in 2008 when musician Muthoni Ndonga, who goes by the stage name ‘Muthoni the Drummer Queen’, decided to host Sunday picnic-styled events to promote local artistic talent. Those in attendance brought a bottle of wine, a picnic basket and a blanket.
However, the event is now back and is scheduled to be on 21st december this year 2022. This was recently announced on their official instagram post. Part of the post read:

On the other hand,Nyege nyege festival in Uganda is usually held on Monday 19 september 2022 where people showcased visual arts installations and had several activities such as bungee jumping, rafting and many more activities where emerging DJs and producers attended. Nyege nyege festival returned after over two years of lockdown.
