Supermarkets, Bars and Hotels In Kisumu To remain Closed During Elections

City Manager of Kisumu Abala Wanga has issued a directory on Thursday to all bars, supermarkets and hotels to remain closed for people to vote. Additionally, the premises will remain closed from 6am to 5 pm on Tuesday next week. The various affected businesses will commence once voting is completed. 

However, according to the star,  also said all businesses operating within the lakeside city will be closed from midnight on August 8 to allow people to go out and vote. A circular is yet to be released tomorrow on Friday. He said they are going to release a circular on Friday.

“We are asking and not forcing, in a circular to be released that we close business activities, to look like a public holiday to allow people to go and vote first.” Said Mr Wanga.

Mr Wanga also urged that those who want to shop can do their shopping on date 8 and 9.
