Sour Mango Serenade

This Tangy Mango Frozen Yogurt dessert marries the vibrant allure of mangoes and the creamy goodness of frozen yogurt. It’s a luscious swirl of frozen yogurt infused with the zesty essence of ripe mangoes, creating a harmonious balance of flavors that will captivate your palate.

Sour Mango Serenade


3 ripe mangoes (about 1.5 kg), peeled, pitted, and cubed, 500 ml Greek yogurt, full-fat,  200 ml honey, 60 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice, Zest of 1 lemon and a pinch of salt


1.Blend the ripe mango cubes to create a smooth puree.

  1. Mix the yogurt, honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Gently fold mango puree into the creamy yogurt mixture.
  3. Churn the mixture in an ice cream maker until smooth and creamy.
  4. Transfer the frozen yogurt to a lidded container, placing parchment paper on the surface.
  5. Freeze for at least 4 hours until scoopable.
  6. Use a warmed scoop to serve, garnish with mango slices or lemon zest.


Chef’s Tip

For an extra layer of texture and visual appeal, consider adding a handful of chopped toasted coconut as a topping. The subtle nutty flavor will complement the tangy mango notes and add a delightful crunch to every bite.
