Earlier today, Kenya wildlife service has announced the sudden death of Sirikoi. Sirikoi was an exceptional lion that used to single handedly take down a Buffalo. Normally, it takes a pride of lion to kill a Buffalo. Amazingly, Sirikoi could do this all in his own.

A buffalo weighs at least 1100 to 2200 pounds.

In a statement released by KWS, Sirikoi had suffered an irreparable injury in his leg and was taken to a vet laboratory. Sirikoi had also broken his jaws and teeth. The condition never got any better until his demise.

Sirikoi’s spirit will always live within his offsprings carried by Amalaya and Morana. It was arguably one of the strongest lion not just in Kenya but the whole world.

Preparations are underway for him to be immortalized at the Nairobi national museum.
