Pauline Njoroge and Najma Ismail Fired by CS From the Tourism Authority

Pauline Njoroge, communication strategist, was one of five board members of the Tourism Regulatory Authority whose appointments were terminated by Peninah Malonza, the secretary of the tourism cabinet, on Friday, March 10.
The same day, CS Malonza also sent former KTN News Anchor Najma Ismail home, according to gazette notice.
The anchor left Standard Group PLC on March 8, 2023, Wednesday.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 (1) (g) of the Tourism Act, as read together with section 51 (1) of the Interpretations and General Provisions Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage revokes the appointment of five members,” Malonza stated.

Kevin Muasya, Alais Lenana Momoi, and Isaac Muchiri Njangu were among the other members who were kicked to the curb.

Malonza did not appoint any younger recruits to the board right away or provide an explanation for the decision to fire the majority of board members who supported President (Rtd) Uhuru Kenyatta.

Prior to the August 2022 General Election, Pauline worked as a digital media strategist for the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition.

Pauline’s appointment to the Board of the Tourism Regulatory Authority was canceled by former tourism cabinet secretary Najib Balala 2021 when it came to light that she had criticized the Nairobi National Park in prior social media posts.
