Multinational hotel chain Marriott International has endorsed a pact with Baraka Lodges Limited to open its first luxury safari lodge in Masai Mara, Kenya.
However, The Marriott Masai Mara Lodge in Kenya is anticipated to open in 2023 being Marriott’s prime luxury safari property in Africa.

The US hotel brand in a statement announced;
“This landmark project is in response to travellers’ growing desire for experiential offerings that enable them to build a deeper connection with their chosen destination,” said Jerome Briet, Marriott International chief development officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
The Lodge will dominate the daclaimed and celebrated banks of the River Talek and on the edge of Maasai Mara reserve.
“JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge’s prime location will offer guests a distinctively elevated camp from which to discover the Masai Mara National Reserve, its stunning vistas, abundant wildlife, and endless plains,” the firm announced in a statement.

Nonetheless, the establishment will enlist other luxury labels in the reserve comprising of British billionaire Richard Branson’s Mahali Mzuri. Others include Keekorok Lodge owned by Sun Africa Hotels, Olare Mara Kempinski and Ol Seki Hemingways Mara Camp among others.
