During the burial of the late former Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha, former president Uhuru Kenyatta traveled to the lakeside county of Siaya and stayed two nights at the Little Gem Resort in Dudi.
Consequently, prior to the former CS’s funeral on Saturday, February 11, Uhuru arrived at the resort on Friday, February 10. About ten minutes’ drive of Yala, where Magoha was interred, lies Little Gem Resort, which is situated in Dudi.

The resort is situated by the side of the highway between Busia and Kisumu. Additionally, the hotel is primarily utilized by transit trucks carrying commodities into Uganda
Nonetheless, Otieno claimed that there are 40 housing units at the resort, with the most expensive accommodation costing Ksh25,000. The hotel offers a swimming pool and an outside area where guests coming by helicopter can land.
However, Uhuru was the lone visitor to the resort during his two-day stay because they had stopped taking reservations.
According to Frank Otieno, owner and manager of the resort, the former head of state stayed in a two-bedroom suite with a kitchenette, a living room, and a bathroom.
“This is where the President slept. It is a two-bedroom suit. It has a living area and a small kitchen where the foodstuff was being prepared from,” the official stated.
