Kenya Tea Development Agency Appoints New Boss

Following the resignation of David Ichoho last week, the board of the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) has named Enos Njeru as its new chairman.

Since the removal of the previous office holder in June 2021, Mr. Ichoho has served as the board chairman. He claimed to have been forced to sign a letter of resignation before to the expiration of his contract in June 2024.

He hurried to court to stop current board members Wilson Muthaura, the CEO, and Matthews Odero, the company secretary, from removing him.

The High Court temporarily halted his removal on Wednesday but reversed the decision on Friday to give Mr. Ichoho the chance to explain why he was contesting it. The choice of his successor is now possible thanks to the decision.
