“Kenya Airways (KQ) wishes to inform our customers that our town booking offices in Johannesburg, South Africa, and Kisumu, Kenya, will remain closed on Monday, March 20, 2023 and reopen on March 21, 2023 due to the anticipated protests in these cities,” the statement said in part.
It also stated that the safety and well-being of its employees and clients is its top priority. KQ stated that all other offices in its network, including airport offices in Johannesburg and Kisumu, will remain open.
It apologized for any inconvenience that the office closure may have caused. Kenya and South Africa were amongst four countries in Africa where country wide protests have been called on Today
Nigeria and Tunisia have also called for large-scale protests.
