Popular city fast food restaurant, Sonford fish and chips went up in flames five days ago during curfew hours. A go-to joint for countless Nairobians searching for a ready hot dinner or a momentous night out, however, on Friday, a fire broke out and ended it all.

The popular restaurant accommodated all walks of life hence chocking the economies of the restaurants along moi avenue and kimathi street. All shut down to customers, one could hear construction workers making industrious noises indicating repairs were taking place. This indicates also that it might be making it’s way back as a different business, preferably stalls.

Although the news of it’s total closure would not be verified, the cause of the fire is not yet established.
