Indomie Recalled From Egyptian Market As CCC Warns Consumers

The Comesa Competition Commission (CCC) has cautioned the consumers against eating some chicken and vegetable flavoured instant noodles. The indomie was recalled from Egyptian market few days ago.

The food and safety authority FSA found indomie’s chilli, chicken and vegetables contained aflatoxin. Additionally, the pesticides remnants had exceeded safe limits.

Consequently, some 733,340 cartons of various flavours have been relinquished from the Egyptian market by the supplier.

According to FSA, Indomie noodles were found to be safe aside from the three mentioned above.

The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (Comesa) instructed buyers in markets within the union, including East African Community countries save for Tanzania and South Sudan, to be on the look out for the affected noodles.
