Grants Cocktails II

  1. El Matador

This matador cocktail recipe is the perfect poolside drink. It’s delicious, refreshing and will make you feel like you are on vacation whenever you drink it.

Ingredients

120ml Grant’s Triple Wood Blended Scotch Whisky

120ml pineapple juice

60ml  lime juice (freshly squeezed)

2 teaspoons simple syrup

El Matador

 

Garnish

4 wedges pineapple (with a slit cut in each)

  1. Tamarind of the Beach

This tamarind margarita recipe adds a unique twist on the classic margarita. Tangy tamarind paste adds a delicious depth of flavor and makes this recipe super refreshing while the savory chaat masala rim lends to that perfect salty sweet combination.

Ingredients
45 ml Grant’s Triple Wood Blended Scotch Whisky
30ml fresh lemon juice
120ml tamarind syrup*
2-4 ice cubes
1 dash Angostura bitters

For the rim

1 Wedge of Lime

1 tsp of chaat masala

Directions

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into coupe glass.

Rim the glass by placing the chaat masala in a small flat plate.

Slice the lime into wedges then moisten the rim of the glass with a lime wedge.

Gently roll the rim against the chaat masala in a small flat plate.

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake and strain into coupe glass.

 

  1. Black Gold Whiskey

Black Gold Whiskey cocktail is smooth, slightly sweet with a touch of orange. It’s a great after dinner or an anytime sipper.

Ingredients

60 ml Grant’s Triple Wood Blended Scotch Whisky

30 ml Kahlua

30 ml Orange liqueur

Orange bitters

Orange rind strips

Instructions

In a shaker, combine Grants Whiskey, Kahlua and Grand the orange liqueur together with a couple ice cubes. Shake until thoroughly chilled.

Wipe the rim of a cocktail glass with a strip of orange rind.

Pour mixed alcohol into a cocktail glass and add 2 shakes of orange bitters.

Garnish with a strip of orange rind used to rim the glass.

Black Gold Whiskey
  1. Blood and Sand

You wouldn’t expect to run across an unorthodox, scotch-based cocktail like this in the wild. But you’re more than welcome to make it at home

Ingredients

1.30ml Grant’s Triple Wood Blended Scotch Whisky
2. 30 ml rosso vermouth
3.30 ml cherry brandy
4.30 ml fresh orange juice

Directions

Shake all ingredients together with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

Dry, deep ruby red, and enigmatic, the Chancellor is not unlike a robust Manhattan

Ingredients

60 ml Grant’s Triple Wood Blended Scotch Whisky
60 ml of port wine
15ml French vermouth
2 dashes orange bitters

Directions

Stir ingredients well with cracked ice, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

  1. Grants & Ginger Ale

A fresh take on a whisky cocktail is this Grants Ginger. This wily creation merges those smoky, spicy, fruity aromas of the Grants triple wood with the sweet, sparkling flare of Ginger Ale.

Ingredients

45ml Grant’s Triple Wood Blended Scotch Whisky

180ml Ginger Ale

1squeezeLime juice

1Lime wedge

Ice cubes

Grants whiskey ginger

Method

Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and pour in Grants Whisky

Top up with 150ml ginger ale and stir

Squeeze and drop in a large wedge of lime to serve
