DP Gachagua Attends Coffee Producers and Roasters Forum in Colombia

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua embarks on an official trip to Bogota, Colombia, in preparation for the upcoming Coffee Producers and Roasters Forum in Medellin City.

Accompanied by a delegation of farmers, Gachagua is set to engage in a 4-day official visit.

The 7th Edition of the Producers and Roasters Forum promises to be a pivotal gathering, providing a platform for stakeholders to delve into the coffee industry’s future. The delegation’s agenda is brimming with various activities, including bilateral talks with Colombian Vice President Francia Elena Márquez.

“Coffee reforms are steadily on track. Our farmers must earn what they deserve – more money in their pockets. One of the strategies of doing so is engaging high-value  markets for better prices,” Gachagua wrote in a tweet on Tuesday.

The deputy president is joined by a team of industry specialists dedicated to enhancing the income of those central to the coffee supply chain.
