Cocktail Hour- Monkey Jam Sour

MONKEY JAM SOUR

The Whisky Sour is one of the world’s oldest cocktails. It’s just alcohol, sugar and lime or lemon juice

INGREDIENTS

50ml Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt
20ml fresh lemon juice
2 teaspoons of jam
Sugar syrup (1:1 ratio) to taste
Dash orange bitters

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put all ingredients in the shaker, taste and add more sugar syrup if you prefer.
  2. Add fresh ice and shake hard.
  3. Strain into an ice-filled tumbler
  4. Top with soda water if you fancy.

FUNKY MONKEY PUNCH

Proving once again that you can have refreshing summer cocktails with whiskey, Monkey Shoulder creates this large format cocktail that’s perfect for your next BBQ or block party.

INGREDIENTS

45ml Monkey Shoulder

30ml parts Coconut Water

15ml parts Fresh Orange Juice

20ml parts Salted-Cinnamon Syrup

1 splash of Club Soda

orange wedge

mint sprig

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Build-in highball glass or punch bowl over ice, lightly stir, and garnish each cocktail with an orange wedge and mint sprig.
  2. Please imbibe responsibly.

MONKEY SHOULDER LAZY OLD FASHIONED

One Monkey Shoulder Old Fashioned is fabulous, but a whole bottle of them – heaven. Monkey Shoulder has made it so easy with their Lazy Old-Fashioned recipe and only with three ingredients

INGREDIENTS

70 ml Monkey Shoulder bottle

90ml Sugar syrup

30ml of Angostura Bitters

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Remove 100ml of Monkey from your bottle.
  2. Enjoy this spare whisky as you like!
  3. Pour Sugar syrup back into the bottle.
  4. Add Angostura Bitters back into the bottle.
  5. Shake and store in the fridge, you’re ready to pour 12 Old Fashioneds over ice.
  6. Garnish them each with an orange zest.

(SMOKEY) MONKEY SHOULDER PIÑA COLADA

The classic Piña Colada with whiskey?  What’s going on here?  It takes Monkey Shoulder to create a whole new way of thinking about this most famous of summer classics.  Pineapple and coconut are not forgotten, don’t worry!

INGREDIENTS

50ml Monkey Shoulder / Smokey Monkey

20ml Lime Juice

40ml Fresh Pineapple Juice

20ml coconut cream

Pinch Of Salt

Dash of angostura bitters (Optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Blend all ingredients with 3 cubes of ice

Serve tall over cubes

Garnish it big and as you like

HIBISCUS HIGHBALL – SUZIE WONG – ADELAIDE

INGREDIENTS

50ml Monkey Shoulder Whisky

15ml Monin Syrups – Hibiscus

10ml Lemon Juice

Top with Fever-Tree Yuzu Soda

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix all ingredients in the highball glass with ice, top up with Yuzu soda Garnish with orange twist and hibiscus flower.

APPLE OF MY EYE

For this week’s cocktail, we’re featuring one that he created with Monkey Shoulder Scotch Whisky for the holidays.

INGREDIENTS:

45 ml Monkey Shoulder

100 ml apple cider

2 dash Angostura bitters

2 dash orange bitters

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Bring apple cider to a simmer in saucepan, add monkey & bitters, stir, transfer to hot toddy glass.
  2. Garnish with Orange wheel dotted with cloves.
