Well this classic cocktail is commonly thought of as a Moscow mule with gin with a bit of mojito influence. It’s made of 2 gins – Gilbeys, Gin and Tonic and Ginger-beer.
8 mint leaves
60 ml lime juice (fresh)
60 ml simple syrup
90 ml Gilbey’s gin
120 ml ginger beer (enough to fill)
Garnish: mint sprig
- In a cocktail shaker, add the mint leaves, lime juice, and simple syrup.
- Muddle well to release the essence of the herbs.
- Add gin and fill the shaker with ice, shake well, and strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.
- Top with ginger beer and Garnish with a sprig of mint.
